Edward Hadad CFP®
The newest member of FAM, Ed joined the team in September of 2020. His background includes positions at top financial services firms as well as several nonprofits. Ed’s strong interest in personal finance, keen analytical skills and passion for helping others led him to search for a position with an independent, fee-only financial planning firm that prioritizes integrity and excellent service. He found that at FAM.
Prior to joining FAM, Ed audited public and private companies at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and served as a controller overseeing the creation of fixed income securities at Credit Suisse and Natixis Capital Markets. He has also worked as a fundraising consultant for several nonprofits and was Vice President of Development for the Institute for New Economic Thinking, an economics think tank founded by George Soros.
Ed volunteers with the Metro New York chapter of the Financial Planning Association and serves on a mayoral advisory committee in the Village of Croton-on-Hudson. His personal interests include traveling (he’s visited over 40 countries), acting (he’s appeared in several amateur off-Broadway productions), and running (he’s completed 3 marathons!). These days, however, most of his free time is devoted to his two young children and helping to care for his wife’s vegetable garden.
He passed the Certified Financial Planner® exam after completing a financial planning certification program with New York University. He is a graduate of Lehigh University with a BS in accounting.
